Webuy offers free shares to users
21 September 2006Auction site Webuy, a relative newcomer to the scene, extended it’s offer of free shares to it’s users.
McKenzie said the company was extending its offer of 50 free shares to the first 30,000 members, from 10,000 originally. The first 500,000 buyers would now also get five shares per purchase.
That could be one heck of a deal if Webuy hits it big. Of course, if they don’t… Well you’d have a piece of internet history I guess.
Webuy is headquartered in New Zealand so isn’t a very likely tool for most U.S. users, but I was able to register for the site. The site is well designed with a small smattering of auctions going at the moment.
