Unlike the “Godless” Washington Dollars that are missing only the inscription on their edge, the newly surfaced Blank Washington Dollars are merely just a Planchet for the coin that somehow slipped through and into the wild.
I would imagine that these could become fairly valuable. You can get one for about $200 on eBay but they are going for as much as $999 at the moment. Of course, at the moment, there are only 5 on eBay so that is helping to drive the demand for them as well. If more start to show up, the price will drop and vice versa if there are fewer than believed.
Seems to have become a bit of a collectors week.
