Toys for the Holidays

It’s that time of year again.  Time to break out the checkbook, search for the holiday 2008 Paypal coupon codes or eBay coupon codes and head off to do some shopping.  If you’ve got kids like I do, one thing you have to pay special attention to is the hot holiday toys.

Amazon usually puts out a pretty good list, and this year is no exception.  You can see the Amazon Hot Holiday Toy List.  There’s plenty of good ideas out there if you want to look for them.  I see the seemingly ever popular Elmo toysThomas the Tank Engine and some Bob the Builder too.  And as usual, there’s a plethora of noise making toys.  Why kids like those so much is beyond me, but I’m beginning to think it’s mostly to annoy their parents.

Another good use for lists like the Amazon Toy List, if you haven’t figured it out already, is to scout for merchandise to try and sell somewhere.  eBay perhaps.  The lists aren’t always 100% spot on, but they are usually good for a few steady sellers and one or two hot ones.

  1. I just wonder if you can still make money on ebay? Do people still have it like a business to buy cheap or import stuff and sell it on ebay? Seems like it have gotten a lot harder lately?

  2. Certain Toys are always one of the bestsellers during the festive Christmas season as children the world over adore gifts from parents or relatives, especially toys.

  3. One of the overlooked toys which is still seeing growth is the remote control car, buggy, plane or helicopter. They are just so much fun and are a great way to get rid of stress as you blast you super fast RC Car around a purpose built track or even your loacl car park.

  4. Since my daughter’s birthday is on the first of January, we have started a very special holiday tradition involving thirty days of Christmas.

She gets one small gift daily until her actual birthday. That takes the emphasis off Christmas as the only day of gifts (other than birthdays) every year. Second year in a row doing this and she is loving it.

I love Ebay for all their wonderful prices; free shipping deals and toys.

Sometimes, I have found one dollar children’s CD-roms and educational DVDs on there. Those are always a really popular birthday item for my own child. And, yes she got an Elmo and Ernie doll this year; one of those cute stuffed toys kids love so much.

I’m always looking for Amazon or Ebay coupon codes. If you have any of those, please post.
