Forbes had an article early last month about how it may be the sunset of Meg Whitman’s stay at eBay. Apparently she had said something about needing a “fresh pair of eyes” on a company. She’s been with the company 9 years and that has some speculating that she really might be getting ready to move on.
That really could be good news for the company. I believe it is time for some “fresh eyes” as it seems that the company has really gone nowhere in the last year or two. Core (auction) listings have declined and the only reason that eBay’s profits continue to rise is the ever increasing fees that eBay tacks on to their sellers.
