Tazbar Auctions
20 November 2006It seems like every time we turn around, there’s another auction site popping up. The newest one we’ve heard about is Tazbar. It’s nearly 4 months old already, and has quite a number of auctions.
Tazbar is based in the U.K. which makes sense since 1 in 3 U.K. users is using paypal. Pretty good demographics for a paypal enabled auction website. There are a few auctions that are U.S. based, but not many. Of course, it’s still usable for U.S. residents as long as you don’t mind the extra postage. You just need to be careful you don’t pay too much, as you can probably get it a hair cheaper if you get it on a U.S. based site with U.S. postage.
If you’re in the U.K., give Tazbar a serious look. It already has a fairly high number of auctions for a site that has only been around for 4 months. The management worked on it for 2 years before releasing it and it shows. I think they could have used the benefit of a little more design consultation though. The orange is just a hair too bright. The blue and green are alright, but the orange needs to either be toned down a bit or replaced.
