All the frenzy surrounding the Sony Playstation 3(PS3) seems to have begun to wear off. I sort of assumed that it would right away. It may pick back up sometime around Christmas, but not much. Initially the systems were selling for in the range of $1400 for the 20GB core system. Now, they are selling for a much more sane $600-$800. Still a pretty good premium unless you stood out in the cold and rain for 3 days to get it. The problem it seems is that most of the people who stood in line for days didn’t do so because they wanted to play the system, but instead they wanted to sell the system.
