List of Cancelled eBay Stores

Springlering has a fairly extensive list of the eBay stores that have either confirmed their closing or have confirmed that they will.

The table has 5 columns and it’s a little complex to understand at first.  The first column is the Store Name, the second the number of store listings cancelled, the third the number of stores closed, the fourth the number of store listings will close, fifth is the number of stores will close.

The numbers thus far are fairly impressive.  Over 400,000 store listings cancelled.  800 stores closed with another 175 expected to add to the list.

As far as I can tell, the list is compiled from people who posted to a thread on the ebay message boards or who contacted the webmaster of the site directly.  As with anything that is collected in this way, I would expect it to be only a portion of the real numbers.  It’s fairly possible that this is only about 50% of the true numbers.  That could mean that there have been nearly 1,000,000 cancelled listings and nearly 2000 closed stores.  Quite the hit for a silly fee hike.  Wonder if eBay is rethinking this yet or celebrating it’s success.
