Import eBay store items into Google Base

24 October 2006

If you have an eBay store, the more exposure you get for your items the better. Getting your items listed on as many sites as possible adds traffic and can increase the % of items you sell and the price you sell them for.

If you have an online store with eBay, Amazon or Yahoo, why not make sure that Google users can find it, too? Google Base Store Connector is a free download that puts info about your store into our index, so that when people search Google for the products you have to sell, you’ll show up in their search results, along with a link directly to your site on eBay, Amazon or Yahoo.

Google Base is an online version of classified ads. While it doesn’t have the search numbers that eBay has, it still has pretty good traffic. Adding your listings to Google Base can get your items in front of the eyes of thousands more than you were already in front of.

Using Google Base Store Connector couldn’t be easier. It’s a simple and quick download and doesn’t need to be installed on the same computer as you do your listings from. Add it to any computer you want. Installation is a breeze.

I was uploading my listings to Google Base in under 3 minutes including download and installation. I inputted my eBay username and password and began importing my listings from eBay. I then began uploading the listings into Google Base.

The importing and uploading took a little longer, about 15 minutes for a little over 100 items.

It’s a great tool for gaining a little extra exposure for your listings on eBay.
