We’ve all heard of the people who have turned their hobby or their attic into a full-fledged eBay business and some of us are actually trying to attain that. But how do you get started. What are the best steps in order to set your home-based business up so you don’t get left out in the cold on something?
Allbusiness.com has some of those answers in a pretty good article on setting up a home-based eBay business. It takes you through the basics of getting started as a business on eBay.
First, if you do not already have an eBay account, you will need to set one up. This is a relatively quick and painless process. Once you have an account, you will need to register as a seller. This involves submitting your checking account or credit card number for verification.
The steps and instructions they give are fairly generic and don’t give a lot of detail, but are certainly good starting points for beginning the home-based business journey.

MAKE MILLIONS SELLING FROM YOUR HOME! LET US SHOW YOU HOW! Oh, sorry. Mention of a home-based business brought out spammer in me. It kills me that they start with “register an eBay account”. For christsake thats like when they used to put those “How to dry your hands” plates on air dryers in public bathrooms. When was the last time you saw one of those that wasn’t vandalized to say something obscene? Speaking of which have you noticed they quit putting those plates on newer dryers now? Is it sad I noticed that?

On the contrary, I think the article handled the simple steps quite well. You and I both know that not everyone would be able to even begin to sell on eBay without some guidance. I do think however that the article was a little overbilled as a home-based ebay business setup. Would have been more appropriate as a quick and easy ebay seller setup.
