Get More Feedback on eBay!

17 December 2007

Thatedeguy eBay FeedbackIf you’ve done any selling on eBay, you know how hard it can be to get feedback from your buyers. And you also have probably realized just how important feedback can be for your business. Get to many negative comments and your sales can suffer greatly. Don’t expect to not get any negatives, you will. What you have to do is get a lot more positives than you do negatives. How do you do that with the low percentage of people who actually give feedback? Ask.

Many people just don’t realize that they haven’t given feedback. Or that they need to. Those that do, usually will give feedback quickly. Those that don’t need a little bit of a reminder. If you find that a large percentage of your buyers aren’t leaving feedback, you can give them a little nudge. First you have to have the Selling Manager add on. It’s $4.99 a month (free with a store) and worth every penny. I get lost without it. Simply log into your “My eBay” page. Click on the link for the items that have been “Paid and Shipped” in the Selling Manager. Once your in there, you can see which buyers have left feedback and which haven’t. Simply check the boxes next to the ones that haven’t left feedback, and click on email. When it loads, use the drop down to select the “feedback reminder” template. Then just click send.

You’ve just sent an email to all your non-feedback buyers that politely asks them to leave feedback and gives them a link directly to the feedback page for that auction. It makes it super easy for the buyer and the easier it is for them, the higher the chances that they’ll do it. I find that another 75% or so leave feedback that didn’t before. It’s great for increasing your feedback count and getting those super cool stars!
