Finding eBay and Paypal Coupon Codes

Posted by thatedeguy on 25th October , 2006 - 16 responses

If you’ve ever bought anything through eBay and Paypal, you’ve probably seen the little box that says “I will enter an eBay/Paypal coupon during checkout.” The bigger question you may have is where do you find those coupon codes?

While there are several services available to allow sellers to give their customers coupons, chances are you are looking for a more generic coupon code that isn’t tied down to one seller.

Probably the best way I’ve found so far to find coupon codes is a simple search. Using your favorite search engine like Google, MSN, Yahoo, or Ask simply do a search for “(ebay, paypal) coupon code october”. You’ll have to wade through plenty of old codes, but if there are any codes available, you’ll find them eventually. Of course, change the October to whatever month it may be. November? “(ebay, paypal) coupon code november”. December? “(ebay, paypal) coupon code december”. Oh, and the parenthesis are search engine lingo for OR. You’ll get returns that have either of the terms inside the parenthesis.

Another way to find them is to keep a list of frugal forums. Many of these sites have areas where people share coupons and coupon codes. When you are looking for a coupon, simply visit each of them and do a search to see if there are any valid codes. Currentcodes.com is also a pretty good resource for ebay and paypal coupon codes as well as many other retailers.

Finding the codes won’t be easy, but the reward for doing so can sometimes be very nice. If you have any current codes, feel free to use the contact form here and send them. I’ll be happy to post them here.

  1. Anyone able to find any of these sites or codes? I have searched to no avail, there has to be a better way. If you know I would love to know too!

  2. I joined this site and got some money back. I was really amazed :) . So check it out and join too ;)

    http://www.bigcrumbs.com/crumbs/frontpage.jsp

P.S. it in not just for eBay!! It includes Apple store, Bestbuy, CircuitCity, CompUSA, Dell, Gap, Macy’s, Orbitz, Overstock.com, Sears, Sephora, shoes.com, Target, Wal-Mart, Zappos.com etc.

  3. Ebay and paypal promotional codes absent this year? I cannot believe they would just omit codes for this shopping season. Time to boycott Ebay/paypal.

  4. I love ebay, coupons and saiving money and I am what many call an addict. I used to use fatfingrs, until I found auctionegg.

so if you want a few good sites for ebay check out fatfingrs and http://www.auctionegg.com they have a special dollar deals section and ebay misspelled auction finder, plus they give away a free windows program that I used that find the typo auctions.

Here is the link to the free tool if you want to download it:

Have fun saving money (or spending money as my husband calls it)

  5. I have found that http://www.Couponcactus.com is the best site for most stores. Sometimes you do find better percentages at other sites but they have combined coupon codes and cash back like no other site. When you combine both aspects togethor you get the best savings. Not to mention that have all the stores most sites have but many more. If you end up joining this free site, do me a favor and tell them 5565668 recommended you as I will get comissions as well. Definatley give them a shot, I would highly reccomend it.

  6. I have yet to find a functional coupon code. The holy grail of ebay!

  7. I have tried unsuccessfully to use ebay coupons and they have a way of denying you eveytime.I consider this a fraudulant act.

  8. It is not a fradulent act, they only send coupons to a few accounts, and the coupons only work on those accounts. Its not like ebay is advertising the coupons, other websites do.

  9. ebay/paypal are full of shit. scammers, liars, anything to lure ususpecting buyers who get ripped off even with all those useless coupons and discounts. i doubt more than 50% who used live.com/paypal cashback will get their money.

  10. Well there was one I found online in Oct 08 that worked and it wasn’t sent to me by ebay. I think there will be many sent in nov just before Thanksgiving as well. Some coupons not sent to me actually work and some don’t. You just have to try them

  11. ebay coupons do work if they were sent to you, but I have been using Bidearn.com to earn money back from my auctions. It works with your coupons if you have them, for bigger savings.

  12. ebay coupon codes get sent to eBay members – they are good for the moth that you would be sent it in. November for instance would end Nov 31′st.

I have never seen one for more than 10%. sometimes people go to forums and post the code they got in the mail from ebay. the code will not work for you unless they sent one to you. I know all this from experience. You can bitch and moan when you call or do Live help all you want. it won’t help.

they send the codes out randomly they say.
Funny hu? not. pisses me off really, i got a code for the last three months and I just bought a zune and now I find that I don’t have a code. LOL BOOO!

  13. retailmenot.com

  14. ends june 30 ebay sent me this coupon but i cannot currently use it because i havent bought anything in awhile dont know if antone else can use it but its worth a try for 8% off at checkout through paypal good luck! CNCRM94PR2C73

  15. I used livesearch last year and DID get reimbursed via paypal. It is not instant money, but at least some comes back for another purchase. I have also signed up for ebates and bigcrumbs. For some reason, I like ebates better. Ebay also has an ebucks rebate they are offering to select shoppers (glad to be one of the chosen ones, because I sure don’t ever get coupons LOL). SO far on ebucks I have earned a whopping $0.77 – It shows how much you earn with each purchase and is instant (I am hoping I can use in conjunction with my ebates). Ebucks is to reimburse buyers via paypal every 3 months. So if you see a chance, try it – it won’t hurt and you see your money adding up & don’t have to go thru other sites. Good luck to all fellow coupon hunters. BW

  16. What I did was give them the username/ password for the bank account, and once it was verified that I was the owner, I changed the password. Seems like a simple solution to a potential breach of security. :)
