Jeesh! You take one silly week off and eBay goes and does something big. Not super big, but big none the less. You can now embed videos into your eBay listings.
We’re talking YouTube style videos. What an amazing way to advertise items. I can’t imagine every product being a good match for the tool, but can you imagine a video walkaround of a car for auction? How about video of how a particular item works for anyone who has questions? The possibilities are limitless. It’s an incredible tool that could be superb for many items.
Of course, with any great tool comes the ability to abuse said tool. It’s pretty easy to mention other sites and pander for off-eBay purchases without immediately getting caught. It’s easy to search text and catch these rule breaks, but you can’t search video without watching it. Sounds like a great home entrepreneur job. eBay video quality assurance technician. Hmm… I wonder if they pay well and have stock match plans?
Check out the eBay announcement and be sure to keep an eye out for auctions with the new feature. Also, be sure to give it a try and see if your sales go up as a result. I can’t see why they wouldn’t.
