WOW! Been looking for a way off eBay for several months now. I've been a Power Seller on Ebay for ten years. I pay eBay +/- $3,000 each and every month in fees. Their latest set of changes (specifically in feedback/DSR's) has frustrated me to the point of no return. I am new to eBid and I absolutely love it! I love everything. The flow, quick loading pages, calming color schemes, simplicity and on and on. It is a great product and when eBid catches on, it will be over for eBay. Power sellers are BEGGING for a alternative to eBay and trust me, eBid is it.

Well were do i start with Ebay..i had alot of feedback on ebay and have been with them since 2004... i mainly bought rather than sold i tewnded to use buy it now rather than bids due to time factor, then i decided to sell alot of unwanted items to raise some extra funds... one item took 3 months by royal mail 1st class to arrive in Milan i had proof of postage from the post office counter and two others from the same batch of 20 plus parcels id sent that day within the uk still havnt received their items, and i have proof of postage, ebay suspended me indefinatly and restricted my ability to sell...ebid all the way i say, ebay allow so many copy trainers to be sold i mean search under nike and you can see hundrends of thousands of copies - just out right copies so blatent by their pictures,,these people can sell and we honest sellers and buyers get kicked off...! doesnt make sense does it guys ..!!! again i say ebid all the way ..!!!

I AM A LONG TIME USER OF EBAY AND LIKE SO MANY OTHER AM SICK TO DEATH OF THE WAY THEY RUN "MY BUSINESS"!! WHAT GIVES THEM THE RIGHT TO DECIDE MY BUSINESS POLICIES? AND WHAT A JOKE THEIR FEEDBACK SYSTEM HAS BECOME!! I WAS LOOKING FOR AN ALTERNATIVE AND JUST LISTED MY FIRST FEW ITEMS ON EBID. I JUST LISTED MY FIRST FOUR ITEMS ON EBID AND AM VERY EXCITED ABOUT IT!! IT DOESN'T APPEAR AS IF AS MANY ITEMS SELL OR AS IF THEY SELL AS QUICKLY BUT JUST KNOWING THAT I CAN LEAVE SOMETHING LISTED FOR AS LONG AS I WANT TO WITHOUT PAYING ALL OF THE RELISTING FEES IS WELL WORTH THE LIFETIME START-UP COST!! GET THE WORD OUT TO EVERYBODY YOU KNOW...EBID IS THE UP AND COMING PLACE TO BE! I AM SURE THAT GIVEN A LITTLE BIT OF TIME I WILL BE ABLE TO SAY GOOD-BYE TO THE EBAY FEES FOREVER!!

I would have loved eBid to be a real competitor, but my first experience there (after several hundred on eBay) was negative...and it doesn't appear they want to do anything about it

Personally I consider the auction sites to be up there with banks, real estate and car sales people.....

Both ebay and ebid are good action sites. However, a better site with a unique platform will be launched in November. The site is called Pricefalls.com and it is based on the dutch action model. Sellers put in the most they think the can get, the least they will take,a desired price fall and a duration. The auction starts at the high price and then falls based on the dollar interval the seller enters. Then, once the price hits an amount that a buyer will accept the buyer bids and gets the item. There are no bidding wars. Better yet, there are no listing fees either. Pricefalls.com is an entertaining and profitable platform for both buyers and sellers.

I agree. Ebay chucks out users like there is an endless supply of them. Well, no business has an endless supply of customers - they have to be nice to them first. Ebay seem to think its a great honour to be allowed to sell there, their mad monopoly must be ended. Think about it, who are the people filling up ebid now? "thrown away" customers from ebay, who are migrating over in their thousands due to ebays "iron claw" management style. I think the growing "disgruntled" population will be a powerful force soon - look out ebay. Retribution IS coming to a computer near YOU.

How many times do you now see (looking at peoples feedback pages) that the other sellers are often "no longer a registered user" - guys with 1000's of feedback banned for one mistake, a late item sent to a buyer, or didnt arrive & wasnt fixed quick enough....you must tread carefully on ebay nowadays as a seller OR a buyer. Who needs that? Business online is hard enough without having to work with such stupid rules - my last comment is this: What would it be like if the authorities could come round to your brick-&-mortar store, and throw you out and shut the doors for a year because someone complained that their CD they bought from you was slow to arrive or got lost in the post? Have we strayed into Bolivia by mistake???
