eBay testing Gallery Plus today
29 August 2006eBay will be testing the new Gallery Plus listing upgrade today August 29th 2006.
Try the new Gallery Plus listing upgrade for 35¢ during this 1-day special offer on www.ebay.com. With Gallery Plus, an “enlarge” icon will appear next to your Gallery photo on search results pages. Buyers can then click the icon, or simply hover over it with their mouse, to see a much larger version of the picture.
Interesting concept as I know I’ve clicked on a auction many times just to see a larger picture of the item. I’m not sure how many people will take them up on this later on down the road however. The regular price will be $0.75 per listing. That’s a difference of $0.40 over just the regular gallery. Or over twice as much. I just don’t see too many people using it.
Of course the beauty of these specials is that a large portion of the people who take them up on it forget to take it off when they relist the item.
