The Inc. 500 list is a good list to be on. It means that your company is one of the top 500 fastest growing companies in the U.S. And there’s an eBay seller on it this year.
RockBottomGolf.com, an online golf retailer and eBay PowerSeller, announced it was named to the prestigious Inc. 500. The 25th annual Inc. 500 ranks the fastest growing privately held U.S. companies according to average revenue growth between 2002 and 2005. RockBottomGolf.com ranked 276th with 484.5% growth over three years between 2002 and 2005.
Started by three high school friends with credit cards in 2000, the company grew to more than $18 million in revenue by 2005. RockBottomGolf.com launched on eBay in 2000 as one of the first retailers specializing in sporting goods and equipment and has become the largest sporting goods retailer on eBay.
Impressive. Of course, eBay isn’t the only reason that they are on the list, but it certainly is where they started. With the branching out to the online store as well as eBay listings, they’ve made a sucessful business out of what began as a small almost hobby business.
