Blocking: negron34 – Filed a claim with PP saying she didn’t get it; sent another plus free item, she received and left a neutral saying it was beautiful but she thought pendant would be bigger ( it was as shown and described in inches). Two days later she files ANOTHER claim with PP saying not as described.

Other major problems: blueleezao, quest-4-the-best, and kjhvhawaii

I disagree- we block like crazy now with the new requirements. we block bidders that leave negative or false positive for our competitors. Too much risk with the new DSR system, someone is iffy we block, someone asks the ” i am going to be a pain type questions” blocked. No hesitation, we have a long and growing list. Cant change a low dsr

Everyone add Dinka2008 to their blocked list.

The buyer sent me a wrong address through Paypal and then (s)he complained the item wasn’t received and got a refund through eBay. Now I’ve lost a 46.00 item because this user wanted to commit fraud.

I have been selling on ebay for 5 years. This is the best idea I’ve seen so far. I’ve had buyers in Australia tell me they couldn’t pay because the exchange rate went up, when I was never offering items to go to Australia in the first place, and had no calculator for international sales on the ebay listing in the first place.
I try my best, but sometimes mistakes are made. Some ebayers would rather see you starve then pay a fair price just for the shipping, or just plain can’t be satisfied. Here is my list of blocked bidders

I’m an eBay Silver powerseller. My return policy is that I will allow a return for most any reason but the customer is responsible for shipping both ways. For the last 4 returns the buyer has been using threatened negative feedback to force me to refund shipping as well. Now the buyers are using it for a weapon.

I recently discovered repexchange.com and am considering using it to at least let other sellers know about these bad buyers.

I check the feedback left history for the last buyer who did this and they have left only one positive feedback for the last 4 transactions.

This seems to be counter productive to eBay’s attempt to build buyer confidence when all it does is lower the feeback score for many good sellers.

I think the real problem is the percentage number. A singe neutral or negative can have an impact on the number. If the number was only the number of completed sales it would give buyers and sellers an idea of how active a seller or buyer is, then they could go to the feedback section and see for themselves how problematic a buyer or seller is. This takes the sting out of negative feedback so there is less potential for extortion on either side.

RepXchange is a worthy attempt at addressing this problem, but there are more than 5,000 potential bad buyers and it’s not a practical solution for most seller’s to put in that amount of manual work.

The simple solution is for eBay to handle all payments and not to not count sales until payment is received and cleared.

I agree — repexchange is a great way to block bad buyers! Banning bad buyers is a matter of supporting the community that reports them. So go ahead and leave your feedback at repexchange and other third party reporting and exchange sources. Sellers need to band together to block the bad buyers. To that end, I can recommend a few sites to help you block unwanted buyers:
