If you follow the “Web 2.0″ crowd at all like I do you know that one of the biggest things going in the social media space is the ability to tag things. Giving something a tag gives you the ability to associate a word or words with it that means something to you. Give something a tag of “Wife” and you know it has something to do with your wife.
AuctionTagr aims to bring that same functionality to eBay auctions. It’s a free service that runs on AJAX, which means it runs quicker and with less loading. Once signed in, you simply add the URL or auction number of the auction and hit go. You can then add tags at will. Once you’ve added multiple auctions and tags, you can then sort by tag or any of the eBay fields as well. You can also get an RSS feed for your AuctionTagr auctions to keep track live through your browser.
If you’re not into tags or just don’t see the need, you probably won’t need the program. Aside from the tagging function and the extra sorting functions, there is very little difference between AuctionTagr and your eBay watchlist. I personally don’t do enough auction watching to necessitate the use of something like AuctionTagr, but I know some people who do and might find it useful.
