Adam Ginsberg Free Inner Circle Membership
21 November 2006This post is a paid ReviewMe post. I do however find the content of the reviewed site to be relevant to the scope of this site and I promise you that the content of the review is my honest opinion.
On first visiting the Adam Ginsberg Free Inner Circle Membership site, you, like I will most likely say, “not another of those darn e-book sales pages that promise instant riches and then try to sell me something”. And for the most part you would be right.
True to it’s promise, the site does give you the information for free. Upon signing up(I did) you gain free membership to the Inner Circle as well as the content of the e-book “Unlimited eBay Inventory.” However, as soon as you fill in your information and continue on, you’re hit with a “one-time” offer for access to a better, faster, sleeker eBay system. All the secrets and personal guidance from one of the top ebay auctioneers, Adam Ginsberg. All for the low,low price of 3 easy payments of $199!
If you want the free stuff, continue on to the bottom of that page and click the radio button for no. You’ll see a button appear with a warning about passing up on the one-time offer. Click that and you’ll get some more warnings and then finally on to your account page. At that point you gain access to the Misspell Generator. It’s basically a search engine for eBay listings where you put in the product you’re looking for and it lists the auctions with that term as well as the common misspellings of the product.
You also gain access to the online version of the e-book and the downloadable PDF version of it. If you’ve made it this far, make sure and read the e-book. It contains some very valuable information. Especially for beginning eBay sellers. In fact, I recommend that you do continue on past the warnings and sales pitches to the free e-book. It’s free and does contain quite a bit of useful information on eBay seller practices and product sourcing.
The problem with the great content that is the e-book is that you have to wade through lots and lots of sales pitches. You get hit with the big one right away before you even get access to the e-book and then again when you try and access the e-book. Plus, the online version is splattered with Adsense ads and other sales pitches. I understand that the guy has to make some money. And I hope he does. But as a user, you must know a sales pitch from good information and know how to navigate around the pitches to glean the information out. If you can do that, you stand to benefit from this site. If not, well, that’s how he makes his money.

I was charged twice for the $199 membership and requested a refund of the overpayment. I received an email saying the office was closed till January 2, but that then it would be looked into. I have sent several emails since then and I also am requesting cancellation. Response? Nothing! I am disgusted and angry.
Might I add to your review that the latest newsletter is from September and that the FAQ page says it’s coming in August. What is really going on here?

Although I do agree that the newsletter displayed is from September, I’ve received newer. Also, the membership is three payments. So, if you’ve only paid 2 payments, you’ve got 1 left.
