A plead to eBay

1 September 2006

Many of us have felt the sting of the new higher fees for eBay stores.  Many more of us have felt the cold shoulder of eBay towards the sellers.  While buyers may be the lifeblood of eBay(who would we sell to otherwise?), the sellers should be taken into account a little more often.

Skip McGrath is a well-known eBay pundit.  He makes a living off of eBay and is usually spot on in his insight.  He made an excellent plead to eBay to do something about the growing trickle of outbound eBay sellers.

I think it’s time that eBay focused on their seller community and started doing something for them besides the occasional free-listing day, or a 25-cent gallery featured sale.  And please don’t tell me how great Skype is or will be.  I can barely keep up with my email –I don’t have time to answer 30 or 40 phone calls a day from people viewing my auctions.

I hope you are listening eBay.  I am not a critic –I love eBay and everything it’s done for me.  I want you to be around years from now and still growing strong.

Well said Skip.  Read the rest of his article fully.
